The founder of the company is an aerospace machinist by trade and has lots of experience with parts that exist in hostile, hi-wear environments. As our first product, we decided to tackle the most common problem with the M156/M159, the cam phasers.

Standard M156/M159 Phaser Repair
This standard repair includes 2 exhaust, and 2 intake lock plates. They are made from heat treated 4340 steel, hardened to approximately 53HRc. This repair is an ideal replacement for OEM plates and should live a long spirited life. We expect an easy 100,000 miles out of these plates, as they are more than twice as hard as the OEM ones.
Along with the metallurgy improvements, we have also increased the depth of the oil groove over the OEM design to allow for faster locking and unlocking.
Pins and springs are available on request for a $25 upcharge. A special note on the pins: We have noticed that there is some manufacturing variance in OEM phaser assemblies. Our pins are ground to exactly 7mm and are tested in actual phaser assemblies before shipping, however due to this manufacturing variance, some new pins are too tight of a fit in the phaser assembly. The old pins should be used in this case. That being said, we have only seen one set of phasers out of over a thousand that actually needed a set of pins.
Reinforced "Stage X" Phaser Repair
This option includes everything in the Standard offering, but also has a 52100 bearing steel insert hardened to 63HRc in the high wear area.
The idea behind this is that the insert is the same exact material and hardness as the locking pin. In the provided picture, the plate on the right has the hardened insert, and the plate on the left does not.
We offer this as a "never again" fix. If you plan on keeping your car forever, this is the product for you.
